Programs
- Assists projects in the integration of HSE programs into the overall HSE plan
- Communicates with company and project management as well as designers and client;
- Representatives concerning the establishment and implementation of HSE programs;
- Serves as HSE program coordinator on large projects, if required;
- Provides input to proposals relative to HSE; Evaluates the effectiveness of project HSE programs;
- Interprets codes, standards, and specifications as required for implementation during the construction
phase of the program; Analyzes the HSE program and recommends the type of equipment required for testing and special
- Develops HSE programs;
- Develops methods, techniques, and procedures for the implementation of special processes;
- Develops and implements testing and examination procedures and programs;
- Trains, schedules, and supervises technicians and/or engineers who provide support services;
- Maintains current and up-to-date knowledge regarding methods, and techniques;
- Interprets and analyzes information and data to determine compliance with specified criteria;
- Evaluates project requirements and recommends methods and techniques to meet these
Requirements
- Provides instruction and training associated with the implementation of special processes and procedures;
- Supervises personnel within the HSE function’s Construction Support group;
- Provides HSE supervision, in assigned discipline, to projects, as requested;
- Maintains expertise at the required level for the assigned discipline; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Degreed or equivalent project experience
- Typically has at least 5 years of experience in a senior lead/coordinating/managing role
- Excellent knowledge of the English (and preferably) Dutch language
Working Conditions
- Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or;
- Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels
Other Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform physical Quality inspection of a variety of Electrical and Instrumentation activities which may include but not limited to: ATEX inspections, Electrical Heat Tracing installations, audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for contractors and client ensuring seamless communication and understanding of their needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations including ATEX for explosion safety for fire risk electrical equipment and CE markings for machinery directives.
- Stay abreast of the latest Dutch laws and regulations adapting inspection processes accordingly.
- Specialize in ATEX inspections focusing on gas and dust explosion hazards.
- Conduct safety inspections of lightning protection devices (inspections).
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections including inspection plans risk analyses and supervision plans.
- Generate comprehensive reports for clients detailing inspection findings recommendations and compliance status.
Preferred Qualifications – Related Education, Experience & Skills
- Three (3) years of experience working as a Electrical Safety (ATEX) and Instrumentation quality inspector
- Certification by a recognized authority (NEN 3140 VP)
- Intermediate or expert computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the basic or intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to speak/read multiple languages (English / Dutch preferred)
